STUTTGART EXHIBITION DESIGN STUDIO ATELIER BRÜCKNER OFFERS A JOB FOR A GRAPHIC DESIGNER (M/F) WHO SPEAKS ARABIC ON A NATIVE SPEAKER LEVEL, TO REALISE THE GRAPHICS FOR THE EXHIBITION SPACES OF THE GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM IN CAIRO, WORKING PLACE IS STUTTGART, GERMANY. START IS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IN NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER 2017.

ATELIER BRÜCKNER:

ATELIER BRÜCKNER is a leading design office for museums and exhibitions, architectures, EXPO pavilions, brand and visitor centres such as BMW Museum Munich or the Visitors’ Centre of EU Parliament Brussels. As general planner, we cover all design phases and disciplines–exhibition design/fit out, architecture, scenography, graphics, lighting, media and content–through all design phases. We work in interdisciplinary project teams with 90 designers and architects from diverse design and cultural backgrounds. Following our philosophy "form follows content" we aim to communicate content in new fascinating ways by generating spatial atmospheres, which take the visitor on a journey along a narrative pathway. The graphic design of our exhibitions encompasses the spectrum of information design-via texts, information graphics, wayfinding systems-and communication in space-via spatial graphic installations.

YOUR TASK:

  • Design and production of the Arab-English graphic design of the exhibition spaces in the Grand Egyptian Museum.
  • Close collaboration and exchange with your Arab or Japanese colleagues in graphic design.
  • Work within our in-house project team (interdisciplinary design team).
  • Communication with clients and curators, planning partners and subcontractors.
  • Full-time position within our creative team in Stuttgart. Business trips to Cairo will take place, too.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Communication designer (m/f), who speaks Arabic on a native speaker level – with excellent English language skills.
  • Relevant experience in exhibition and museum design, communication in space, information design.
  • Strong visual and creative skills with excellence in space, typography, illustration etc.
  • Interest in international and interdisciplinary exhibition design and scenography based on the idea of “form follows content”.
  • Flexible, open-minded personality.
